Syntaxonomy and geography of light-coniferous and mixed (Pinus sibirica, Larix sibirica) forests of the Bolshoy Agul River basin (Eastern Sayan, Southern Siberia)

The classification of forests in the Bolshoy Agul river basin (Eastern Sayan) was developed using Brawn-Blanquet method and cluster analysis. Two zonal categories North Asia – boreal Vaccinio–Piceetea Br.-Bl. et al. 1939 hemiboreal Rhytidio–Laricetea Korotkov Ermakov 1999 were revealed. Boreal coniferous are represented dominantly by two orders East Siberian-Mongolian type Ledo–Laricetalia Alsynbayev 2004 Lathyro–Laricetalia 2002. first order includes alliance Pino sibiricae–Laricion associations Carici globularis–Pinetum sibiricae ass. nov. Linnaeo–Pinetum occurring on long-term frozen soils with different moisture regimes. second is community Senecio nemorensis Larix sibirica(Rhododendro–Laricion Krestov 2009). third Piceo obovatae–Pinetalia 2013 represents extra-zonal communities Ural-Siberian geographical moderately warm habitats. Hemiboreal light-coniferous (class 1999, Festuco–Laricion ex 2000, Campanulo turczaninovii–Laricetum nov.) locally found driest sites. results comparative plant-geographical analysis make it possible to correct border between Siberian Euro-Siberian geobotanical subregions as well boundaries districts, provinces regions forest zonation system Southern Siberia.
